From November 12th to 13th, the 25^th National Bridge Academic Conference, co-sponsored by Bridge and Structural Engineering Branch of China Civil Engineering Society, Tongji University and Southeast University in co-operation with CRBBG, was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. With the theme of “Long-span Bridges, Structural Innovation and Intelligent Construction”, the academicians, experts and enterprise’s representatives conducted in-depth discussions on innovative design, structural analysis, intelligent construction and advanced scientific research achievements of bridge, as well as the further development of China’s bridges. Hong Jun, Chairman of CRBBG, attended this conference.

There are three sub-forums in this conference: Bridge Technology Prospect, Tunnel Technology Prospect and Bridge and Tunnel Industry Integration Development. Liu Zhigang, Chief Engineer of CRBBG’s Yangzhou Company, as the host of the third sub-forum, made a special speech around the theme "Application of Intelligent Manufacturing Technology on Steel Girder of Changtai Bridge".

In his speech, he elaborated that CRBBG implemented the strategy of "China Intelligent Manufacturing 2025", and actively promoted the development of intelligent manufacturing of steel bridges. He said that at present, the CRBBG’s production management has reached the intermediate stage of intelligent manufacturing, and the intelligent manufacturing technology has obtained many certifications. Relevant production management modes have been applied to many projects such as Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, Changtai Yangtze River Bridge and Macau-Taipa Bridge, achieving the effects of reducing costs, increasing efficiency and improving management.
