At a.m.4:20 on April 8, after more than three hours intensive work, the 132m chute beam for erection of steel truss for Xi'an-Chengdu passenger dedicated line spanning Xi'an-Baoji high speed railway, fabricated by CRBBG Tianyuan Company, was successfully moved lengthways, which created conditions for subsequent general assembly of the steel trusses.
Xicheng Bridge spans the airport section of Fuzhou-Yinchuan expressway and the Xi'an-Baoji high speed railway, and at an angle of 14 degrees to the railway. The conventional erection method of longitudinal push and integral hoisting can not be used due to the great span and tonnage and over 50m distance to the ground. Finally an erection plan of integral transverse moving method is determined.
During the construction of lengthways moving of chute beam over the high speed railway, Tianyuan company thoroughly considered the composition of running power and the counterweight of the chute beam, and the test under the same working condition, field simulation, data acquisition analysis and comparison laid the foundation for the successful lengthways moving of the chute beam.
