The 2014 Straddle Monorail Transit System Appication & Development Symposium was held in Chongqing recently. More than 300 people were present at the symposium, including leaders from relevant state ministries and commissions, relevant departments of provincial and municipal governments, rail enterprises of different regions, relevent departments of Taiwan, Hongkong and central and Eastern European countries and regions, and senior experts in the rail transit field. CRBBG's Chief Engineer Ji Minting was invited to attend the meeting.

The subject of this symposium was "The straddle monorail transit system - Mature, safe, economical and efficient urban rail transit solution" and it lasted two days. The attendees summarized and exchanged the experience for Chongqing straddle monorail construction and development, and went to the rolling stock manufacturing base, track beam plant and rolling stock maintenance base to make a site visit of the achievement of technological innovation in the monorail transit. Then they took the train on part line of Line 2 and Line 3 to view the operation status of monorails, and jointly discussed the worldwide application of straddle monorail transit system as well as its future development trend.

As a member of Chongqing International Monorail Association, CRBBG fabricated 4 sets of electric straddle monorail model attracted more attention at this high level symposium. The models simulated the actual running status and directly showed the three-way and five-way switch, single crossover and inspection car for the monorail transit, which represented CRBBG's leading position and product superiority in the monorail industry and won praises from all sides.
