Recently, the steel box girders fabricated by CRBBG for Jinan Yellow River Bridge on Qingdao-Yinchuan Expressway was awarded 2011 National Excellent Welding Engineering Award First Medal, which is CRBBG's 11th time to get this award.

Jinan Yellow River Bridge, located at the north of Jinan city, Shandong province, is a super bridge over Yellow River on Qingdao-Yinchuan Expressway, which is the main line of national road, and is also an important part of north ring road in Jinan. The bridge has a total length of 4,473.03 meters. The main girder is flat and streamlined closed thin-walled steel box girder with a total width of 43.6 meters, total length of 666 meters and total weight of over 15,000 tons. The bridge spans the Yellow River by means of overpass that creates the first in the history of bridge construction over Yellow River.

CRBBG won the contract of steel box girder fabrication for this bridge on November 2, 2006. After two years of hard working, the bridge perfectly closed on July 2, 2008 with zero allowance. On December 28, 2008, the bridge was completed and open to traffic.
