In the morning of February 23, along with the rotation of two large type drills on Yangtze River, the drilling of the main pier 11, the control project of Hubei Jiayu Yangtze River Highway Bridge, formally began, which indicated the start of construction of Jiayu Yangtze River Bridge.

As the crucial pivotal project of ring expressway of Wuhan city circle, Jiayu Yangtze River is loacted over Yangtze River between Yanwo Town, Honghu City and Xinjie Town, Jiayu County, connecting Honghu Section and West Xianning Section of ring expressway of Wuhan city circle with a total length of 4.7km. The whole line is constructed by 2-way 6-lane according to the expressway standard and the design speed is 100km/h. The width of the bridge is 33.5m and the overall length is 1,460m. CRBBG undertakes fabrication of more than 30,000 tons of steel box girder and steel anchor beam for Jiayu Yangtze River highway Bridge. It will become the unsymmetrical composite girder cable-stayed bridge with the longest span in the world when completed.
