The Party Central Committee and the State Council observed the grand opening of the commendation meeting for 2015 State Science and Technology Awards in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on January 8. The Party and state leaders Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Liu Yunshan and Zhang Gaoli were present at the meeting and gave the prizes to the representatives of the prize winner for State Natural Science Award, National Award for Technological Invention, National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of P.R.China. Among them, CRBBG participated Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway won the National Grand Prize for Progress in Science and Technology, and Zhoushan Sea-Crossing Bridge won the State Science and Technology Award.

In the construction of Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway, CRBBG took part in the construction of high speed turnouts, Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge and Jinan Grand Bridge over Jinan-Yanzhou highway. In which, Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge created four Firsts in large geometry, long span, large load and high speed, and had been successively awarded Luban Prize for National Construction Engineering, George S. Richardson Medal, and Outstanding Structural Engineering Award by IABSE.

Zhoushan Sea-Crossing Bridge Project has an overall length of 49.96km, consisting of Cengang Bridge, Xiangjiaomen Bridge, Taoyaomen Bridge, Xihoumen Bridge, Jintang Bridge and connection highways. In which, the latter three bridges were fabricated by CRBBG. Xihoumen Bridge was also awarded National First Prize for Excellent Welding Engineering, Gustav Lindenthal Medal, FIDIC 2015 Excellent Engineering Project Award and Luban Prize for National Construction Engineering.
