Recently CRBBG received the letter of advice that it formally won the bid for fabrication of 40,507 tons of steel truss for Dongting Lake Bridge on Linxiang-Yueyang expressway in Hunan Province.

Dongting Lake Bridge is designed as two-way four-lane and the width of bridge deck is 35.4m. The bridge is composed of a three-span continuous rigid frame bridge, a double tower and double span steel truss suspension bridge and the continuous girders. The overall length of the bridge is 2,390.18m and the main span is 1,480m, which makes it the steel truss suspension bridge with the second span in the world and the the first span in China at present.

The Linxiang-Yueyang expressway is an important part of Hangzhou-Ruili expressway in Hunan section as well as the start section of the first transverse of "7 ordinates and 9 transverses", the expressway network of Hunan Province. Yueyang Dongting Lake Bridge is the control project of the whole line of Linxiang-Yueyang expressway.
