Good news came from Anhui Province on July 16 that CRBBG officially won the bid for fabrication of steel box girders for the main bridge of Wuhu 2nd Yangtze River Highway Bridge.

The total weight of steel box girders for this bridge is 39,068 tons. The length of main bridge spanning river is 1,622m and of main span 806m. It is a double tower and four cable planes separate steel box girder cable stayed bridge. The cable ben tower is 262m high that make the bridge the highest one over 400km Yangtze River in Anhui Province. The bridge is also the cable stayed bridge with the greatest span in Anhui.

Wuhu 2nd Yangtze River Highway Bridge spans Yangtze River and starts from Shijian Town, Wuwei County. The length of the bridge will be up to 57km when connected to Wuhu-Tongling Expressway, which will play an important role in improving the regional expressway network, promoting the industrial transfer construction of city zone along Yangtze River in Anhui, and accelerating the regional economic and social development.
