The steel box girders for modification and upgrading project of Xianyue Road and Chenggong Avenue interchange in Xiamen, fabricated and erected by CRBBG's Shantou project office, successfully passed the structure acceptance made by Xiamen Quality Supervision Department and other relevant uints on April 16. They considered that the construction quality for fabrication and erection conformed to the design and construction specifications, and of good appearance quality, thus the products could be delivered for use.

Xianyue Road and Chenggong Avenue are two traffic arteries in the central areas in Xiamen city, whereas the intersection of the two fast roads, i.e. the section of Taiwan Street corner to Jinshang Road crossing on Xianyue Road, is one the greatest "jamming points" in the city. To solve this problem, Xiamen started up the modification and upgrading project for Xianyue Road and Chenggong Avenue interchange in April, 2014.

It is reported that the traffic capacity of the reconstructed road will be upgraded from 11,000 vehicle-times per hour to 19,000 vehicle-times per hour, with the increase of over 70 percent.
