Beijing's first medium-low speed maglev line S1 started all-round construction on April 20, and it is anticipated to be open to traffic at the end of 2016 according to the schedule. It will only take 10 minutes from Shimenying Station at Mentougou to Pingguoyuan Station when Line S1 is open.
