The type CZ170 monorail operating vehicle product, manufactured by China Railway Baoji Machinery Co., Ltd (CRBM), was approved in Chongqing on March 9, and could be put into quantity production.

The monorail operating vehicle is specially designed and developed for the straddle rail transit system, mainly used for the overhaul of the power supply equipment, signal equipment, communication equipment and electromechanical system that are installed on the track beam, as well as with the function of both rush repair of equipment and emergency rescue, such as carrying the maintenance personnel and equipment to the working site.

The CZ170 monorail operating vehicle has reached the domestic leading and international advanced technical level. The approval of it is a milestone in CRBM's development and manufacturing of urban rail transit equipment, which lays a solid foundation for CRBBG to exploit the urban rail transit equipment market.
