CRBBG won the bid for fabrication and erection of Wajiatan Yellow River Grand Bridge on Yashiga-Tongren section of Qinghai (Zhangye)-Henan highway recently. The bridge is the first long span double tower cable-stayed bridge in Qinghai province as well as the cable-stayed bridge with the longest span in the northwest region.
Wajiatan Yellow River Grand Bridge is a double tower double cable plane cable-stayed bridge with the total weight of about 17,000 tons. Spanning Yellow River and connecting Hualong Autonomous County of Hui nationality and Jianzha County, it is one of the control projects on Yashiga-Tongren section of Zhangwen expressway in the national expressway network. The bridge has an overall length of 1,000m and the span arrangement of 104+116+560+116+104m, with the main span of 560m. The main tower is designed as H shape and the superstructure is steel and concrete composite girder. The bridge deck is 40m high from the surface of the Yellow River. It adopts expressway standard of two-way four-lane. The construction period for fabrication and erection of the bridge is 30 months and it is anticipated to be completed in 2017.
