CRBBG Participated Yellow River Bridge for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo Intercity Railw..

At a.m. 12:00 on May 16, with a sound of whistle, the first fully loaded train fleetingly ran through the Yellow River Bridge for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways from south to north, which indicated that the Yellow River Bridge for Beijing-Guangzhou railways which had been on service for 54 years was officially retired, and the newly-built Yellow River Bridge for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways would take over the "relay baton" and take on the important task of connecting north and south arterial railways.

The Yellow River Bridge participated by CRBBG has an overall length of 11.28km and 2,200m for the main bridge, with through continuous steel trusses which are braced for every 2 spans and totally 22 spans. Shared by both Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways and the relocated Beijing-Guangzhou railways, it is the first as well as the only railway bridge with four lines over Yellow River at present. The contract price for the bridge is 2,587 million yuan. The total weight of steel truss is 75,000 tons. In which, the bridge length for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways is 9.63km and design speed 250km/h, and for Beijing-Guangzhou railways is 11.28km and design speed 160km/h.

In the bridge construction, CRBBG undertook shop fabrication and field erection of 40,089 tons of steel truss girders. Since the start at the beginning of 2012, CRBBG repidly set up the project office for wholly planning, coordinating and advancing the work. All participated units paid high attention to it, closely cooperated, timely communicated with each other, and seriously prepared "The Implementary Plan for Production of Bridge for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo Railways". At the same time, CRBBG deeply carried out a working competition for the bridge fabrication to speed up the project construction with the guarantee of quality, quantity and time span to ensure that the shop fabrication and field construction would be completed on schedule. Especially at the later stage of construction, the project staff firmly implemented the leaders' requirement, focused on field construction as well as marketing, and achieved the project target of production and reimbursement simultaneously to its maximum.

It is reported that previously CRBBG had built six large steel bridges over Yellow River, the mother river, and the newly operated Yellow River Bridge for Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways is the seventh "Yellow River Rainbow" fabricated by CRBBG. The successful completion of it lays a solid foundation for the business operation of Zhengzhou-Jiaozuo intercity railways, and is of great significance for Henan province to realize a "half-hour" economic circle between center city and circumjacent cities and to accelerate the construciton of central economic region.
