At FIDIC's (International Federation of Consulting Engineers) 2014 engineering award ceremony a few days ago, CRBBG participated Xi'an Metro Line 2 project won 2014 Global Outstanding Engineering Award, and Zhengzhou Yellow River Combined Bridge and Taizhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge won Honorable Mentions.
FIDIC is an international organization of consulting engineers with worldwide authority and recognized by the World Bank. It announced six Outstanding Engineering Awards and 20 Honorable Mentions this year, among which, China had one project win the award and seven projects win the honorable.
Xi'an metro Line 2 project was completed and open to traffic for the whole line on June 16, 2014, and all the turnouts for this metro line were manufactued by CRBBG. The project was the only one in China even in Asia to get this laurel as well as the first metro project to get FIDIC award in the world.
Zhengzhou Yellow River Combined Bridge had a length of highway and railway of up to 9,177m, which took the first in the world. CRBBG undertook the fabrication of steel truss girders for section GL-2 in this magnificent project.
In the construction of Taizhou Yangtze River Highway Bridge, which had created five Wolrd's Firsts, CRBBG undertook the fabrication of steel tower columes and steel box girders. In which, the middle tower with a height of 192m and a weight of 12,000 tons was worthy of the name "China's First Heavy Tower".
