The fabrication and vertical trial assembly of the first steel truss segment for Hulukou Bridge at Jinsha River hydropower station passed the review on November 11. It is another stage achievement obtained for this project after the approval of the welding procedure qualification test and the fabrication rules of steel truss on May 22, which indicates the formal start of lot manufacturing of steel truss for Hulukou Bridge in the factory.

The Baihetan hydropower station on Jinsha River is the third hydropower station in the world. Hulukou Bridge is an important part of the site access to the station as well as the key project carried out in advance for the construction of the reservoir area. The main bridge is a 158m+656m+145m steel truss stiffened suspension bridge. It is located over Jinsha River at the boundary of Ningnan County, Sichuan and Qiaojia County, Yunnan, about 37km upstream from the damsite of Baihetan hydropower station.
