The fabrication of the first circular pipe of arch rib for Jiangyang Bridge was finished on April 4 in Yangzhou company after near one month's intense preparation, which indicated the formal start of fabrication of Jiangyang Bridge in Yangzhou company. The shop fabrication for this project is anticipated to be completed in the middle ten days of July.

Located on Xinwanfu Road of Yangzhou city, the top of main bridge of Jiangyang Bridge is a through bridge with concrete-filled steel pipe tied bar and dumbbell-shaped arch rib. The calculated span is 120m. The rise is 24m and rise ratio 1/5. The arch axis is quadratic parabola. The tie beam is reinforced concrete with height of 2.6m and width of 1.6m, and the arch springing is heightened to 3.6m. The arch rib adopts dumbbell-shaped concrete-filled steel pipe structure, and the arch rib is 2.6m high and the outer diameter of each steel pipe is 1.1m. The whole bridge has 21 pairs of suspender with the space between each of them of 5.4m along the longitudinal direction of the bridge. The susperder is rigid and uses PES(FD)7-73 low stress anticorrosion cables, supported with LZM7-73 chilled upset head anchor. The total weight of steelworks for the bridge is about 528 tons.
