Maanshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge, jointly constructed by CRBBG, was completed and open to traffic on December 31, 2013. CRBBG's General Manager Li Zongmin and Deputy General Manager Wang Huiping were present at the openning press conference and visited the bridge. This bridge is the tenth bridge erected by CRBBG over Yangtze River, which adds a splendid scene of "steel rainbow" to the 400 km Yangtze River in Anhui province.

Maanshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge is the fourth bridge over Yangtze River in Anhui province as well as a highway bridge with the longest span. It is composed of two main bridges, one over left branch and the other over right branch. The left bridge is a three-tower double-span suspension bridge, and its main span takes the first in the same kind of bridges in the world, which has made a great breakthrough for the span level from hectometer to kilometer for suspension bridge with three towers and double spans for the first time; and the right bridge is a three-tower double-span cable stayed bridge with elliptic arched towers, which takes the first in China. In which, the three-tower double-span kilometer suspension bridge and the innovation level of reinforced concrete structure of the center tower thereof, both take the first in the world; and the elliptic cable stayed bridge over right branch takes the first in China.

In the construction of the bridge, CRBBG undertook the fabrication of 6,500 tons of tower column for center tower and 32,000 tons of steel box girders for left suspension bridge. The fabrication of both tower and box girders fully showed CRBBG's strength as a professional manufacturer of bridge. Especially for the fabricated center tower with a height of 175.8 meters and reflecting local characteristics of Anhui province, the one-time acceptance rate for the tightening of 280,000 sets of high strength bolts was up to 100%, which created a good record in the field of steel tower fabrication and erection for bridges in China.

The completion of Maanshan Yangtze River Highway Bridge ends the history of ferry life of local residents, promotes Anhui province to be better integrated into Yangtze River delta area, and is of great significance for the eastward strategy and the harmonious development along the Yangtze River.
