At 7:30 on September 16, the deck barge, carrying three steel box girder segments for Jiangshun Bridge, slowly pulled out from the dock of Yangzhou Company, which indicated that the phased objective of shop fabrication of this bridge had been achieved and the shipping and bridge site erection stage had started.

The Jiangshun Bridge project is a large bridge which connects Pengjiang District, Jiangmen and Shunde District, Foshan. With the overall length of main bridge of 1,172 meters, main span of 700 meters and bridge width of 39 meters, the bridge takes the first place in cable stayed bridges in Guangdong province. The production and fabrication of steel box girders for the bridge started up in the last ten-day of May.

The double-deck lading adopted for this shipment and the whole journey of transport of 1,050 sea miles are for the first time to Yangzhou Company, which will accumulate rich experience for the lading and long-distance river and ocean combined transportation of large steel box girder segments.
