Recently ShuoHuang Railway Company held the review meeting for shop trial manufacturing and laying of 75kg/m rail No.12 & No.18 single turnouts at Baoji. Leaders and experts from China Railway Group Limited, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Co., Ltd, Taiyuan Railway Bureau, China Railway Third Survey & Design Institute Group Co., Ltd, Chengdu Xixin Concrete Co., Ltd, Ruzhou Zhengtie Sanjia Co., Ltd, China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group Co., Ltd, China Railway Signal & Communication Corporation, Taiyuan Electrical Equipment Plant, Tianjin Railway Signal Co., Ltd, China Academy of Railway Sciences, Zhejiang Bell Correspondence Group Liability Co., Ltd, GuangMing Railroad Holdings Co., Ltd, as well as CRBBG Chairman of the Board Huang Zhenyu and Deputy General Manager Dong Yanlu, were present at the meeting.
Chairman Huang delivered a welcoming address. He, on behalf of CRBBG, expressed his warm welcome and sincere thanks to the presence of all leaders and experts, and congratulated beforehand that this review meeting would make a complete success in the end.
At the meeting, the experts and leaders listened to the report on shop trial manufacturing and laying of the two sets of turnouts made by the research team, and made a field inspection to the laid turnouts. The expert team considered after serious discussion that, first, the documents submitted by the research team for review were complete and detailed and conformed to the review requirements; second, for the design such as insert manganese crossings, reinforced alloy steel crossings with welded wing rails, and widened profile of switch rail, point rail and wing rail, the research team adopted technologies such as U75V rail machining, three times explosion hardening for manganese crossings, and air blast heat treatment, as well as manufactured special inspeciton templates and measuring tools with strict quality control, therefore realized the design objective of product; thirdly, the turnouts were laid on the integral jig and after inspection, turnouts, bearers and driving system were all in good condition and conform to the design drawings and relevant technical requirements. Therefore, the trial manufacturing and shop laying of 75kg/m rail No.12 & No.18 single turnouts were agreed to pass the review and permitted to be laid on track.
The expert team suggested at the same time that CRBBG should strengthen tracking and observation and accumulate data so as to further improve and perfect the products. Deputy General Mamager Dong addressed that CRBBG would seriously carry out the suggestions and recommendations proposed by the experts and leaders, proceed with new product development and quality control, thus to make greater contribution to create quality turnouts.
