Recently, CRBBG organized a review meeting on the design scheme of 3rd generation of high manganese steel frog for 60kg/m rail 1:18 simple turnout based on heavy-duty railway. After making the design scheme report by CRBBG’s Railway Track Research Institute, the experts at the meeting fully discussed the market prospect, popularization and application, structural design, and manufacturing process, and agreed that the design scheme of this product is reasonable and has a good market prospect.
This product is independently developed and designed by CRBBG, and is a rail-bound frog with embedded wing rail. By improving the material strength of nose rail and wing rail insert and optimizing the hardness gradient, it solves the problem of lateral horizontal crack of small section of nose rail of explosive pre-hardened high manganese steel rail-bound frog, and effectively solves the problems such as excessive fluctuation of bloom size and internal quality, thus prolonging the service life of frog. Combined with the good track application of the third generation of high manganese steel rail-bound frog for 60kg/m rail 1:12 and 75kg/m rail 1:12 turnouts developed in the early stage, it is estimated that the total traffic capacity of this product can reach more than 350 million tons in its service period.
