The first round of fabrication of steel box girder for Section G1 of main bridge of Guangdong 2nd Humen Bridge passed the review on July 6.

The attended leaders and experts inspected the general assembly field, listened to The Technical Report and The Quality Report made by CRBBG for the first round of fabrication of steel box girder for Section G1 of main bridge of Guangdong 2nd Humen Bridge as well as the opinions of supervision and the testing organization, and reviewed relevant data and documents. They considered after adequate discussion that the steel box girder fabrication had proper processes, reliable fixtures and equipment, perfect quality assurance system and controlled working procedure; the first round of steel box girder fabrication had complete and accurate documents and good quality; and the weld quality and dimensions conformed to the requirement in Fabrication and Acceptance Specifications for Steel Box Girder of Main Bridge of 2nd Humen Bridge Project, thus it could be used for guidance of fabrication of following steel box girders.

The 2nd Humen Bridge is a double tower single span steel box girder suspension bridge, connecting Nansha and Dongguan, and its design service life is 100 years. It will be a new milestone in China's bridge history when completed. CRBBG undertakes fabrication of 27,200 tons of steel box girder in the construction of this bridge.
