The 12th China Civil Engineering Zhantianyou Award was announced in Beijing on December 4. Among the 28 civil engineering projects awarded nationwide, CRBBG constructed Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge for Beijing-Shanghai high speed railways was in the list. The award was the top honor in the civil engineering field in China.

It was noticeable that at the same time Beijing-Shanghai high speed railways won Zhantianyou Award as a whole, Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, as the crucial control project of the whole line, was exclusively awarded, which showed the significance of this world-level bridge as a milestone in the industry. The bridge started construction in August, 2006 and was open to traffic for the whole line in January, 2011. The bridge won 2012-2013 National Construction Engineering Luban Award in December, 2013.

China Civil Engineering Zhantianyou Award was jointly set up by China Civil Engineering Academy and Beijing Zhantianyou Civil Engineering Science & Technology Development Fund in 1999. The appraisal and election scope covers the fields of civil engineering construction, such as buildings, bridges, railways, tunnels, highways, irrigation works and residence communities. It aims at commending and awarding the engineering projects with remarkable achievements in technological innovation and application of new technology. Up to this year's appraisal and election, totally 336 representative high-tech civil engineering construction projects nationwide have won this award.
