On July 1, along with the last segment lifted in place, Xi'an Southeast 3rd Ring Road Interchange, fabricated and erected by the Steel Structure Workshop of CRBBG, was successfully closed. CRBBG Secretary of Party Committee Hong Jun and Project Manager and Director of Steel Structure Workshop He Hongbo, attended the closing ceremony.

The superstructure of the interchange was 30+45+45+30m continuous steel box girders with a total weight of 4,667.5 tons. 260 segments were lifted at the bridge site, and the construction for the 45m section was arranged during the night as it spanned Southeast 3rd Ring Road. For the great traffic flow and rapid speed on the road at night as well as the long and heavy lifting blocks, the staff and workers of the workshop strictly controlled the construction and made standard operation, and personel was specially assigned to close and open the traffic and take safety actions with the cooperation of traffic police. After 20 days continuous working, the lifting and location of 148 blocks for the middle span were smoothly completed, which guaranteed the bridge closure on July 1.

After the closing ceremony, together with leaders from Xi'an Qujiang Construction Group, Xi'an Shengtang Infrastructure Construction Co., Ltd, Xi'an Municipal Road & Bridge Construction Co., Ltd and Xi'an Kexin Supervision Co., Ltd, Secretary Hong listened to the field work report made by the Steel Structure Workshop and visited the construction site. They fully affirmed CRBBG's preliminary work and presented higher requirement for the subsequent work of the project.
